The Daily Brain stores the following information locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults:

• Game Progress: Your current streak, brain score, completed games, and challenge progress
• User Preferences: Notification settings, difficulty unlocks, and onboarding completion status
• Achievement Data: Badge achievements and milestone progress
• Premium Status: Whether you have an active premium subscription
• App Settings: Your preferred notification times and app configuration

Important: This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect any of the following:

• Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data or device identifiers
• Game performance analytics or detailed usage statistics
• Contact lists or photo library access
• Biometric data or health information
• Third-party account information

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect:

• App Store transaction data related to your subscription
• Anonymous device identifiers for subscription validation
• Subscription status and renewal information

2.2 Apple App Store

When you download the app or make purchases, Apple may collect information according to their privacy policy. We do not have access to this information.

3.1 Local Data Usage

• Maintain your game streaks and calculate brain scores
• Remember your preferences and settings
• Deliver local notifications (if enabled)

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage Only

All your game data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. We do not operate cloud servers or databases that store your personal information.

4.2 Data Backup

Your app data may be included in your device's iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled. This backup is managed entirely by Apple and is outside our control.

4.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data:

• All data is stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms
• No network transmission of personal or game data
• Subscription validation uses encrypted connections
• Regular security reviews of our codebase

5. Notifications

5.1 Local Notifications Only

The Daily Brain uses only local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications from external servers.

5.2 Notification Permissions

You have full control over notification permissions and can disable them at any time through:

• The app's Settings tab
• iOS Settings > Notifications > The Daily Brain

6. Children's Privacy

The Daily Brain is designed to be safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we don't collect personal information, the app is compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete Data: Use the "Reset Progress" option in Settings to delete all local data
• Disable Notifications: Turn off notifications in app settings or iOS settings
• Cancel Subscription: Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
• Uninstall App: Deleting the app removes all local data permanently

7.2 No Account Required

The Daily Brain does not require account creation, so there are no accounts to delete or personal profiles to manage.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Significant changes will be communicated through app updates
• Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

9. International Users

The Daily Brain can be used worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we don't transfer personal data internationally, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns.

10. Data Retention

Your game data is retained on your device until you:

• Delete the app
• Perform a device reset without backup restoration

We do not have access to or control over this data retention since it's stored locally on your device.

11. Legal Compliance

The Daily Brain is designed to comply with major privacy regulations including:

• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Applicable to EU users
• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): Applicable to California residents
• COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): Applicable to children under 13
• Apple App Store Review Guidelines: Including privacy and data collection requirements

12. Effective Date

This privacy policy is effective as of October 14, 2025, and applies to all versions of The Daily Brain app available on the Apple App Store.
